Vihuela Detail This vihuela is a copy of an intricately decorated bass instrument from circa 1500, ancestor of the contemporary guitar, and believed to have originated in Moorish Spain. It is a faithful replica of the only surviving instrument of its kind, residing today in a Paris museum. This replica is for sale, with drawings of the original and other display material, for $40,000, case included. This instrument is in a private collection. Please contact us for information.
